What is a Physiotherapy Inclinometer and what is it for?
Inclinometers for physiotherapy
In physiotherapy it allows to determine with precision and objectivity the progression of the treatment of many diseases or injuries.
An inclinometer is a measuring instrument used to measure the inclination of a plane with respect to the earth’s surface.
In geotechnics, the inclinometer is an instrumentation device that makes it possible to measure horizontal displacements on slopes and unstable terrain.
These inclination sensors are designed to convert a physical quantity into an electrical one. In this case, the inclination is the physical magnitude and the electrical magnitude varies as a function of that movement. The tilt range is usually expressed in degrees and it is this international unit of measure in which the inclinometers are calibrated. The measurement ranges can be from a few degrees to 360º which would be the complete turn.

Types of inclinometers
There are two types of inclinometers : portable inclinometers and “in situ” sensor systems. However, the first type is more commonly used in geotechnical projects.
